Built for indie bookstores
Worm sends readers to you, not Amazon.
Every book purchase on Worm supports an independent bookstore. Readers choose you directly, or our fair-rotation algorithm makes sure no indie gets left behind. No middleman markup, no opaque pooling, no catch.

From reader to revenue in four steps
Readers pick you
During onboarding, every Worm reader selects a local bookstore. When they buy a book, your store gets supported automatically.
Fair rotation fills the gaps
Readers who don’t pick a store? Worm auto-routes their purchases to nearby indies in a fair rotation—so no store gets left behind.
Revenue flows directly to you
Payments are split at checkout via Stripe Connect. Your share lands in your own Stripe account—Worm never holds your money.
Grow at your own pace
Start with passive support revenue. When you’re ready, opt into direct fulfillment for higher margins and a storefront inside Worm.
Fulfillment models
Choose how involved you want to be
Start with zero work and earn passive support revenue. Or opt into direct fulfillment for higher margins. Your call.
Support-Only
Worm handles fulfillment. Your store earns a support revenue share on every purchase—no extra work, no inventory management, no shipping. Passive income for being part of the community.
Store-Managed
You become the merchant of record. Fulfill orders through your own inventory, your own Ingram account, or however you prefer. You keep the vast majority of the sale.
Hybrid
Fulfill what you can, and Worm picks up the rest. Out of stock on a title? We route it through Ingram so the reader never waits. You still earn more than support-only.

Frequently asked
What does it cost to join?
Nothing. There are no listing fees, monthly charges, or sign-up costs. Worm takes a small platform fee on transactions—that’s it.
How do payouts work?
We use Stripe Connect. When a reader makes a purchase, the payment is split at checkout—your share goes directly to your connected Stripe account. Worm never holds your funds.
What’s the verification process?
A one-time review: business license or tax docs, proof of physical location, and a link to your online presence. We cross-reference with ABA listings and Google Maps. Takes about a week.
What does "support" actually mean if I’m not fulfilling orders?
In support-only mode, Worm handles fulfillment through Ingram. Your store receives a revenue share paid directly to your Stripe account at checkout—real money, no strings. We never imply your store fulfilled the order.
What do I need to get started?
Complete our verification process and connect a Stripe account. Once you’re onboarded, revenue from reader purchases flows to you automatically. No inventory, no shipping, no upfront costs.
